Welcome To Grid Joint! Hello, Everyone! I'm Muratus, one of the creators of the wildly successful Flatout Joint community gaming site, created for the Flatout series of games. Flatout Joint has had over 7,000 members since our opening day 2 1/2 years ago, with over 500,000 total downloads to date! We've been the driving force for very large community made mods for the Flatout games. Myself and Pavcules the co-creator of FOJ have decided to open Grid Joint and bring our new and unique way of running a gamming site to the new game of Codemasters, Grid. What you will find at Grid Joint is a soon to be large community of game modders and die hard racers all striving to make the game Grid the best racing game around! We offer complete forums, up to date news concerning the game Grid, file hosting plus much more! The site is for the players and will be tailored to the players! We are very open and take any suggestions or requests serious. So if there is anything you would like to see at Grid Joint please send me or Pavcules a message or post in the forums! The modders have already started decoding and hacking away at the Grid Demo files to see what will be possible in the future for Grid! New Cars? New Tracks? New Skins? It has been announced on the Official Grid site that all versions of Grid have gone gold! What's "Gone Gold" Mean? When a game is said to have "gone gold," it means that the code has been finalized and is ready to be duplicated for distribution. The term goes back to the days when recordable CDs were manufactured using gold film, leading the source CD to be called the "golden master." Unlike the music industry, it is not a reference to the number of copies sold. It will typically take several weeks for a game to ship to stores and become available to consumers after it has gone gold. The announcement was made on 5.16.08 for PS3 and xBox. The PC version was announced on 5.17.08! What's this mean to us the community? It means the game is on it's way to our PC's and Consoles nothing to stop it now! |
